The 2nd team travelled to Newcastle for a game against 2nd placed Medics, who has recently suffered their 1st defeat of the season.
The team had a couple of changes from the previous week’s victory with Max Lemanczyk and Jadit Mahawara making debuts, Leigh Brown moving up front to re-establish an old partnership with Paul Coupe.
Game started well for the visitors with good possession down the left and a couple of half chances created, however the medics where showing plenty of quality in possession without creating many clear opportunities.
Breakthrough came after the 1st substitutions with Max Lemanczyk making good progress down the left before playing a dangerous ball towards the far post, the ball being turned into the net by a covering defender before reaching the attacker.
Lead was short lived however as a short corner was flick into the back of the net via ‘keeper Andy Trainer’s glove.
The game settled back into the a even game before Medics took the lead with the last touch of the half to go into the break leading 2-1
2nd half started with the visitors again pressing the home defence high up the pitch, with the midfield backing them up well which forced a mistake to lead to another short corner, this one slotted into the bottom corner by Leigh Brown.
Now with the momentum, Marton pushed further forward with Jadgit impressing as he saw more of the ball in the opposition half before the men in black had a setback conceding a 3rd goal, falling behind for the 2nd time.
However the points where gained when Jagdit finished well under pressure. Next Paul Coupe slotted the ball into the bottom corner after being played in by Jadgit.
Another tough match next week against the league leaders.
Man of the match was awarded to Jadit Mahawara
