MARYPORT TRIO IN CUMBRIA SQUADS
ROONEY, FOSTER & FORRESTER COUNTY REPRESENTATIVES
Maryport trio Daniel Rooney, Craig Foster and Sam Forrester have been involved in the county tri-series over the past month.
Rooney missed the open age win at Maryport over Yorkshire today but was selected today against Leigh Miners in the Open Age's victory over Lancashire, scoring a try in a 20-14 win which handed the County Championship to Cumbria Open Age.
Foster and Forrester both starred in the recent U19s win at home to Yorkshire at Maryport, Forrester crossing for a hat trick and Foster touching down and adding a few conversions.
Forrester missed todays U19 game at Leigh against Lancashire through England Community Lions U18s committments against Wales, but Foster played a loose forward in a narrow loss, that unfortunately meant that Lancashire claimed the U19 County Championship for 2011.
