PRESENTATION NIGHT SUCCESS

On Saturday 18th October 2014 Maryport ARLFC held their annual Presentation evening.


Following a Superb hot and cold buffet - for which very special thanks must go to Carol Ivison, Sherry Patterson and their "apprentices", the formalities of the evening got underway.

Spencer Ivison - Club Chairman first of all welcomed everyone to the club including Special Guests Ewan Dowes and Willie Manu, along with representatives of JPL Plastering the clubs main sponsors for the 2014 season.

He then went on to speak about the fantastic season Maryport had had - winning the Amateur Cup and the BARLA County Cup, which was followed by the trophy presentation by Ewan Dowes and Willie Manu.

Clubman of the Year Don Heaney

Special Representative Awards went to :
Sam Forrester and Scott Akehurst who both represented Great Britain under 23’s and toured Jamaica earlier in the year.

Special Thanks were also given to the ladies section and various back room staff. And must also go to Ewan Dowes and Willie Manu who spent time with the players talking and having photos taken.

With the formalities over it was then down to the Fantastic Holborn Hillbillies to provide the evenings entertainment and they certainly did not disappoint - Maryport Club was absolutely rocking until the wee small hours of the morning. I am sure there was a lot of bad heads on Sunday!! All in all it was a fantastic evening enjoyed by everyone who attended.
