Congratulations to Colin, who deservedly won the NLD Volunteer Award back in January, and was recently presented with his award by Mick Pepper, Derbyshire President.

It is a fitting reward for Colin, who has worked tirelessly for the benefit of Matlock since the early 1970’s. Following on from his playing career he has held many roles within the club, including that of Club Referee, Secretary, and can now be found most weeks, braving the elements, while photographing the Club matches. We are really fortunate as a club to have so many great moments documented on camera for us to look back on and keep memories alive. It is great to have up-to-date, relevant photos available for the local press, our website and facebook pages - and this is all thanks to Colin.

Russ Boyack who nominated Colin on behalf of the club commented; ‘Everyone at Matlock RFC & Derbyshire RFU are delighted that Colin has been selected as NLD’s Volunteer of the Quarter, he has been a huge part of the club for over 40 years and has held all manner of roles in that time’.
