With second in the league playing third it was always going to be a tough game and so it proved. The Dragons had not had the best of preparation, with three forwards arriving moments before the game started. Whilst they quickly went ahead within 5 minutes through Joshua Bruin, handling errors and poor decision making gifted possession back to the Titans and allowed them back into the game. It was clear that the Dragons had lost some confidence and, although Oliver Bell scored, this wasn't helped when the Titans drew level and then went ahead just before half time to go in at 14-10.

The coaches asked for a positive response in the second half and got it almost immediately with a break from Bell to level the scores. Some confidence started to return to the Dragons, especially when George Moore moved into the dummy half role to provide some "go forward". It was still very tight though and the Titans ruthlessly targeted the left flank of the Dragons to keep themselves in the game. Only some very good cover and try line defence from a number of players kept the Titans from scoring more than they did. Alex Russell crashed over followed shortly after by Bell again and this, coupled with William Vodo's kicking, kept the Dragons just in front. The young Dragons could now sense a win and with the fight draining out of a tiring Titans side Bruin scored twice to put the game beyond doubt. Atu Laqeretabua put the icing on the cake with a try in the last minute.

Final score 24-42.

It had been a great team performance with hat-tricks for Joshua Bruin and Oliver Bell. William Vodo, Harry Bloomfield, Callum Banks, Alex Russell, Kieran Palmer and Atu Laqeretabua all had solid games in the forwards, huge in defence and making big carries in attack. Louie Dadson, Aaron Mathe, George Moore and Captain Joe Hicks all combined really well in the pivot positions so that the team played with some vision, width and actually started to use space. Owen Baldwin had a solid performance on his wing but special mention must go to left centre Max Willis and left Wing Tom Scoines who had a pretty torrid time being ran at by the biggest Titans and worked very hard trying to blunt the attacks.

The squad travel to the TwIckenham Stoop on 18 Jun 11 for the WCAM Challenge Shield competition.
