Three weeks into pre-season and The Dragons 17s group is beginning to show signs of potential as the numbers grow each week. Training on Saturdays at Medway Park from 1200 hrs and Thursdays at The Garrison from 1930 hrs

Head Coach Martin Coyd said ‘This is a special group of blokes and three of them played in our Foundation Under 9’s team in 2007. The younger age group were our first ever Grand Final winning team and I am very excited about the prospects for 2015. They have been together a long time, know and respect each other, and are always up for a laugh’

‘We have a great off field and coaching team and the S&C this year has been the best ever. We have a couple of players who are returning from injury, a couple away with Broncos and yet we look very strong even now. It would be great to see a couple of lads who are yet to show. If they are reading this, they probably know who they are. It is tough, our game, not everyone can make it and some fall away’

‘The London RL 9s takes place in 8 days time, Saturday 07 March 2015, and we look in good shape to enjoy the hit out. Every player will get a chance in that competition to stake a place for a jersey come Round 1 the week after and we are excited about what this year might bring’

‘There will be opportunities for the players to step up and train with Rob Powell and The Dragons First Grade who begin training next week. Those who did last year had a great time and learned much.
