A sunny Sunday in Halifax was the venue for the gathering of the England Wheelchair Rugby League Team, selected to face France in the Wheelchair Rugby League International Test Match versus France to be played at Medway Park at 1900 hrs on Bank Holiday Monday 27 August 2012.
The team was selected following the first and very successful Wheelchair RL Home Nations which took place in Hull in July 2012. Medway Dragons are represented by Mark Roughsedge who has been appointed as Assistant Coach and Martin Coyd as Team Manager.
Martin Coyd said ‘This is an exciting first for Medway. We are hosting a full International test match for the first time and hope to deliver a fantastic occasion for players and spectators. We have a great opportunity to showcase our town, our facilities and our Rugby League culture the year before The World Cup comes to our country’
‘I urge everyone to come down to Medway Park, watch The Dragons play Halifax in the curtain raiser at 1700 hrs and sit back, holding tight, for an incredible evening of sport as the top two teams in the world go head to head. There is nothing quite like it'
Tickets are priced at £ 5 for adults and £ 2.50 for concessions and are available from Medway Park, Medway Dragons or pay on the door.
