Added to this excitement, Rugby League Cares has announced a major boost to the youngest part of the game with a fantastic opportunity for every club in the land.

Rugby League Cares will aim to support 100 Under 7’s Junior Rugby League teams through a new grants initiative aimed at increasing early participation in the sport.

Grants of up to £500 will be awarded to successful applicants to provide funds to be used in the establishment and development of Under 7 teams. These grants are available to any club in the country, and can be applied for through completion of an application form found on the Rugby League Cares website.

Applications must be received by 25 February 2015, and will be decided upon by the Rugby League Cares grants committee.
