Medway Dragons Wheelchair Rugby League Players Nick Brooks and Joe Coyd have trialled for the England Team for the upcoming Home Nations Championship

Travelling to Halifax in West Yorkshire for a trial with England Wheelchair Rugby League was another chapter in the journey and adventure that is Medway Dragons RLFC. Nick Brooks and Joe Coyd were the two Dragons nominations for the selection process which involved every club in England.

The team is coached by another Dragon, Mark Roughsedge who led the trial process and has the task of assisting Phil Roberts with the England Team. The Home Nations Wheelchair Rugby League Championship takes place in Hull over the weekend 06-08 July 2012 and will lead to selection for the International Test Match, England v France which takes place at Medway Park on Monday 27 August 2012.

Mark observed 'This was a trial of very high standard, very good players from across the country who are all very focussed on achieving International honours. It will be a tough challenge to get the squad size to a final eight. I am looking forward to a fantastic first with the Home Nations Wheelchair Rugby League Championship next month'

Nick and Joe will now have a tense wait until the final selection is announced. The whole club will be rooting for our boys.
