Nominations for this year’s RFL Community Awards open today. It is a fantastic opportunity to recognise those involved within the Community Game.
There are six awards which are open for nomination until 12th August
Guidance and criteria
Volunteer of the year
The person who, through their outstanding contribution, ensures the smooth running of your organisation. This is a person on whom many things depend and who, through their efforts, helps to grow and develop the game of Rugby League.
Coach of the Year
The person whose dedication to coaching has helped the club and players to develop and improve, whose efforts make the game of Rugby League more enjoyable for others. This award can recognise year on year improvement.
Children’s Coach of the Year
The person whose efforts help junior players to develop good behaviours, skills and technique and who creates an environment in which young players can flourish and enjoy their Rugby League experience. This award can recognise year on year improvement
Ground Person of the Year
The unsung hero who looks after the pitch at the club and through whose efforts the players enjoy training and playing on a great surface. A person who has shown the commitment to learning and development needed to be a top grounds-person.
Adult Match Official of the Year (18 years and over)
The match official who has shown exceptional performance and/or commitment at a community level, and has dedicated time and effort exemplary to all officials.
Young Match Official of the Year (Under 18 years)
The young match official who has shown exceptional performance and/or commitment at a community level, and has dedicated time and effort exemplary to all officials.
