We Never Close ......
It was business as usual as the pre-season prep continues in great style. The Dragons continue making the best of the opportunities created by weather
Despite the freezing, sub-zero conditions, Medway Dragons Mini's and Juniors are making fantastic progress in 2012.
The Mini's, 12's and 16's made use of the excellent facilities at Medway Park and ran very valuable sessions, sharpening the critical handling, communication and timing skils as well as having a load of fun.
16's Head Coach Mike Nayler is delighted with progress 'The enthusiasm and appetite for hard work is very clear and this came out today as we completed a great session'
Medwauy & Kent Community Rugby League Coach Mark Roughsedge observed 'I was very impressed with the skill levels. 'The players have clearly moved on and are achieving ever higher standards. Can't wait for the season to start'
The Under 14 Team headed out to Capstone Park and completed an excellent session in very testing conditions. Dragons Head of S&C Robbie Stone set a high bar with a tough set of challenges and obstacles whilst carrying the much loved Powerbags.
From there Martin Coyd took the lads into the steep sided valleys of Capstone Park to see how much resolve, courage, attitude they had. A lot, as it turned out. Barry Clarke and Ray Orris wrapped up the session with a fine game of Rugby League in the snow.
Martin Coyd said 'I am hugely impressed with the response from the players to this tough challenge. These were very difficult targets in good weather, never mind 6 inches of snow and sub-zero temperatures. I am delighted with the spirit in the team and the way they want to work hard for each other. We will carry this into our football'
Robbie Stone said 'It was barely acceptable'
