She has made history by becoming the first Medway Dragons Handball player to gain representative honours when she was selected to play for the South East at the Regional Academy Tournament hosted at Stoke Mandeville, England Handballs National Training Centre, on Sunday 15th January.

Naomi who also plays for London Hackney GD is the youngest member of the 15 strong squad that will join other academies from around the country, keen to nail down a place in National squad in front of the England Coaching Staff.

Mark Roughsedge was delighted to see the progress of the Handball section: 'Naomi making the regional academy is another great example of the impact Medway Dragons Handball Club is making. We have a proud history of producing Rugby League representative players that perform at various levels and it was only a matter of time before we started to produce talented Handball players. Iwona and the rest of the coaching/support group are doing a sterling job creating an environment where people want to belong and play Handball'
