The unstoppable Medway Dragons Women’s Team claimed a stupendous victory against rivals Olympia on Sunday 4th October in their first league game. With the rough and tough opposition truly testing the skill of the Dragons, this was one win that was well deserved.
Showing how far the team have come since its first tournament back in November last year, Dragons won with a score of 29-26, with goal after goal being scored by the likes of Zarra (number 4), Iwona (number 10) and Adrienn (number 15), as well as many other team members.

Winger Christina (number 6) broke through the oppositions defence with some superb goals. But it was not only the attack that was top form for this game, but the team put up a brilliant defence. Not least forgetting the awesome performance of the three goal keepers Ruth (number 14), Natalie (number 1) and Ali (number 12), who saved so many of the Olympia shots.

Olympia put up a good fight, but Medway Dragons were not going to be defeated. What an amazing start in the Dragons campaign for glory. Roll on the 8th of November for our next game, where we will definitely give the competition a run for their money.
