Referees

Qualified touch referees are key to the development of our sport.

In April 2010 we qualified 20 new level 1 referees from all over Kent. Erin Sharp and James Wheeler have followed this up by refeering at a number of our touch tournaments.

We will be looking to our other level 1's Sam Jefferies, Sarah Lucas, Tzena Brown and Venitta Keith to also take on more officiating in the 2010/2011 season. We also have level 1 Danny Pattenden as a regular referee for us.

In July 2010 Trevor Jefferies was upgraded from level 2 to level 3 by the european touch referee panel at the European Championships.

If you are interested in becoming a referee or upgrading your badge please contact Trevor. Referees can earn a level 1 badge by officiating the sport at park level. Referee badges can only be upgraded to level 2 at NTS competitions and for level 3,4 or 5 at FIT competitions.
