Melbourne loose by 8 wkts
Melbourne 76 for 10, Heworth Colts 80 for 2
After getting to week 3 of the season and not a ball bowled Melbourne with captain Harry Collins at the helm looked like getting off to a good start with Freddie Collins and Tim Blackmore at the crease however Collins was bowled in the 3rd over by Livingstone when on 4. Blackmore was joined by a succession of players, Sam Shipley dismissed for a duck, Steels bowled the ball after hitting a 6 straight over the pavilion and Boyd also bowled for 0 by Huffer. Callum Quarton made a good 9 before being bowled by Harris. Blackmore sucummed to a catch by Ravenhall off the bowling of Fairburn in 12th over after making 27. Andy Collins made 6 before being bowled by harris, Nick Eastoe  was bowled by Fairburn, Jamie Kirby made a good 7 and showed potential before being caught by keepr Sykes off the bowling of Gillies. With harry Collins making 1 before being run out Brian Underwood finished on 3 not out in the 16th over.

In reply Heworth Colts made 12 before loosing the wicket of Ravenhall after he was bowled by Underwood. Edge  was bowled the following over by F Collins. However Coughlin and Sykes continued to find the runs despite good tight bowling by A Collins and H Collins. Heworth reached the required total in 16.2 overs Coughlin finishing on 30 not out and Sykes on 36 not out.
