The Senior Management Committee for 18/19 has grown. We kicked off with an early July meet up, and we meet again in August ahead of the season start. We look after the following teams: 1XV, 2XV, 3XV, Academy and Development XV.
The committee oversees the running of all age-groups from U6s up to U16s - that's 14 teams currently.
We meet monthly - chair, treasurer, along with registrations, fixtures, operations, and Team Admins for each age-group.
Further below are the age-group Managers you can contact if you're interested in your child joining Melbourne RFC.
The U13s Minxes (Y7&Y8) are the first age-group where girls are required to play girls-only rugby. This age group benefits from NLD (3-county) organised U13s tournaments. But we also organise matches with other teams - such as Ashby, Mansfield, Coalville, Donington. We are developing joint training with other sides (e.g. Matlock). Our Minxes benefit from occasional additional senior coaching input too.
Want to know more? - contact Rachel Rudd.
The U11s Minxes of 2017/18 developed into a strong band of 17 as new recruits joined though out the season. 9 have migrated to the U13s Minxes.
The 2018/19 year starts off with an experienced band of 8, and we will grow as new recruits join throughout the season.
We practice on Sundays, and we have a number of competitive outings, often alongside our U13s side. Look at the Pitchero Calendar to get the latest.
Parents, be sure you are registered on Pitchero and your email address is confirmed - to receive late changes notifications etc..
O2 Touch is a collaboration between the club and the RFU and O2.
We run O2 Touch for the benefit of those who don't currently play the contact game, but also for our current and past players, our parents of players, and our coaches and admins who like to throw the ball around.
You can join us whether you are part of Melbourne RFC or not.
Any questions - just contact Andrew. Want to see more? Go to the Touch information page: http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/melbournerfc/teams/197081
