The club is developing fast, with foundations being dug for the new club house, flood lights a decent coaching set up etc. To reach the heights we want to achieve we need solid foundations so for the 2015/16 season we are launching a new team the Stags!!

The stags will plan in NLD Pennant 4 (the league the 2nds were in 2013/14) and be managed by David Lowson (me), we will play 20 or so fixtures and also compete in the Derbyshire Cup competition with our first round match against Donnington 1st in October.

The first team and the Knights team (development) will also push to win their respective leagues. Its hoped that the vast majority of players in the firsts and knights will train regularly and compete for their places, the ethos in the Stags will be subtly different.

We want to play every fixture, and to win as many as we can, but all available players will be welcome for every game and we will endeavor to give as much game time as possible to everyone. We will also not insist on being available as often as the firsts or knights, so occasional players, and guests will always be welcome.

Our league looks reasonable in terms of both travel and standard of opposition.

It will be a great team to introduce new players to the club and we hope to have a few beers etc

So if you are available to play next season (however infrequently) please say, and if you have any mates, or contacts who are seeking a run out on a Saturday make contact with them and get them in touch with me.

There are a number of local teams that have folded in the last couple of years, East Leake, Leesbrook, etc so if anyone knows players or has contacts at these clubs please pass them to me, I will make contact.

Our first game is on the 12th of September at the Cockshut lane Arena
