Rugby World Cup 2015: Ticket Allocation for Members of Melbourne RFC

Yes, I appreciate that the Rugby World Cup is still 18 months away but the ticketing process starts very shortly and if members wish to take advantage of the RFU’s Rugby Community Priority Access Sale then please follow the guidelines below. Please note that the procedures are quite different from the normal process of Autumn/6 Nations tickets acquisition.

This is a ticketing program for 48 Rugby World Cup Matches; 10 at Twickenham and 38 at other venues around the country ( details of which can be found at England 2015 website www.rugbyworldcup.com ) As part of the Rugby Community Sale Programme we will be able to nominate a set number of members to buy these tickets .

The Twickenham Matches are as follows:

Fri Sept 18 England v Oceania 1
Sat Sept 19 France v Italy
Sat Sept 26 England v Wales
Sat Oct 3 England v Australia
Sat Oct 10 Australia v Wales
Sat Oct 17 QF2: Winner Pool B v Runner up Pool A
Sun Oct 24 QF4: Winner Pool A v Runner Up Pool B
Sat Oct 24 SF1 Winner QF1 v Winner QF2
Sat Oct 24 SF2 Winner QF3 v Winner QF4
Sat Oct 31 Final

Ticketing Process

Tickets will be sold directly to members nominated by Melbourne RFC, all ticket sales will be processed online. Tickets go on sale from May 16th 2014 on a first come, first served basis for the price categories.

The club must nominate and register each member who wishes to purchase tickets. For the Twickenham games, the Club has the ability to pre-allocate tickets for specific matches, and also pre-allocate the number of tickets per match subject to a maximum of 4.

We, Melbourne RFC, need to know with a degree of urgency, if members are interested in acquiring tickets for the World Cup. For the Twickenham games we need to know the specific matches and number of tickets required. For the other 38 games we just need to register your interest. We need this information by April 28th at the latest, because in the possible event that demand is higher than supply for the Twickenham games, we need to allocate tickets in a fair manner which will be by means of a draw (Draw will be for pairs /not individual tickets). The club will then register the members in sufficient time prior to May 16th.

The information we require should be sent only via e-mail to jakeoxspring@btconnect.com
