Touch has been part of Melbourne RFC since early 2016.
This variant of the oval ball game has played a part in giving our coaches and parents, our youth age and above team players - men, women, boys, girls - a chance to run out onto the field together - for fun, for fitness, and as a way of getting to know Melbourne RFC.
There are about 40 of us connected to Touch as players. We play throughout the year with numbers averaging about 15-20.
There is no commitment to turn up every week. What we try to do is limit the playing side to about 7-10 aside which allows each player plenty of time on the ball, or organising themselves defensively - the idea after all is for each and every player to come off the field tired and happy, fitter, and better ball handlers and defenders.
There is a small fee to cover pitch costs - £2.

Touch Rugby is on Mondays 7-8 at the MSP year round.
