New Players Welcome
Melksham Under 18's
After a disapointing season in terms of results last year the under 18's will be looking to be more competitive in their new league Dorset & Wilts 2 North. Although we have dropped down a league it is still going to be a tough competition playing against sides like Devizes, Marlborough, Trowbridge, Chippenham B and Keynsham B. Although last season didn't go according to plan we were playing with a very young side in a very strong league.
The plus side of of playing with a young side is that a lot of the players are still with us, and our squad is already looking stronger than last year. A lot of the boys will be playing their second and third seasons with us and so know what to expect from this level of rugby. The experience of shower captain Ben 'Foden' Fielding will be essential as will the leadership both on and off the field of last years county nominated players Alex Bound and Charlie 'swan dive' Radcliffe.
Last years squad have been joined by a new batch of under 16's who are already impressing at training and the signs for the season ahead look very promising. The Under 18's will also compete in the county and national cups. We are always on the lookout for new players and welcome anyone who wants to enjoy their rugby and pull on the Melksham jersey!
