This was the first ever game for our Under 6's playing in the Hightown under 7's Mini's League.

Everyone of the boys should be very proud of themselves as they all got stuck in and tried their best. It's difficult to single out players but I feel that particular mention should go to Harry who battled hard and went on some great runs and also to Cory for an eye catching great defensive tackle in the first half followed by a fine goalkeeping display in the 2nd half. However, every boy played well and really looked the part in their kit.

It must be quite scary and intimidating for the children to hear us all on the line shouting and cheering as for them playing a game is completely different to training on the park. The boys seemed to have loads of fun though and the support from the line was fantastic and that with loads of encouragement will bring them on over the next few weeks.

The boys have only been together for a very short time but as an onlooker I can already see a great friendship and team ethic amongst them that will carry them onto season after season.

Well done boys, we are all very proud of you all and can't wait for the next game.
