U16s beat Liverpool 10-2
A win but much to work on
With Josh and Ben T loaned to Liverpool to even the teams for the game, it was hoped that we'd be able to have a good work out and play good lacrosse putting into practice our training drills. Apart from the 3rd qtr which we won 6-0, and showed glimpses of what we are capable of, the fact that the other 3 qtrs totalled a 4-2 margin shows how off the pace the boys were today for some reason.
Liverpool are a committed team, and deserve great credit, but with significantly less experience than all the other teams at this level. For us today, it wasn't about the result but the performance and improving as a team and so it was a missed opportunity to practice and execute the drills which will be needed to beat the best teams. Hopefully the effort and performance level will be back where it needs to be across the pennines next week.
Goals: Luke (4), Tom (3), Drew (2) and Eddie. Saves: Will 5+
