''Matt is a true stalwart of the club, having started at the age of eleven and is now in his 32nd season with Mellor (the maths are quite easy to work out!).

His philosophy of playing? 'Keep smiling and keep enjoying it' has worked well both for himself and his teammates around him.

As a 'star attacker' Matt has served the club as 'B' team captain, U14's and U16's coach and as an excellent stand in referee!

He is married with two children, with son Ben, playing for the U16's.

Matt's job, as MD of an aerospace engineering company, takes him to many exotic destinations - with so far his favourite being a trip to Delhi and Mumbai.
