Bro too strong for the bridge
best team on the night took all 3 points
in the 1st local derby of the season, saw us welcome a few players back into the squad after missing the Welsh Cup game on Saturday and also the returning Dion Williams
game started at a fast pace with both sides not able to create a clear cut chance, but with the ref gettting to be a bit whistle happy the game slowed down a lot.
On 35 mins Dion Lewis took a free kick from halfway in his own half and he launched it into the box and at the very last second Bro keeper managed to push the ball onto the bar, as the ball came back down Danny Camilleri slotted the ball into the back of the net only for the ref to disallow for a foul on the keeper.
on 38 mins Jac Thomas got the ball and rushed into the box and without breaking stride slotted the ball into the back of the net.
Half time Bro Goronwy 1 - 0 Menai Bridge Tigers
second half started with the Tigers working hard to try and make an opening but the Bro defence held strong.
51 mins - Danny Camilleri replaced by Ricky Roberts
55 mins a corner to the back post from the right was headed back across goal and Andy Williams made it 2 -0
61 mins - Callum Byng replaced by Dale Owens
last ditch tackle from both teams stopped any chances happening, Dion Williams, Ryan Wood and Callum Davidson were trying there best to open the bro defence but nothing happend.
72 mins - Tom Scorer replaced by Andy Wannop
We reverted to a 4-4-2 with Andy partnering Dave Roberts up front. Gethin Davies played a lovely one two with Andy and Geth sliced open the Bro defence and Andy was clean through only for the Bro Club linesman to flag for offside. Found it impossible for Andy to be offside as he ran passed a defender... it wasn't going to be our night.
75 mins - bro scored to make it 3 -0
full time - Bro Goronwy 3 - 0
words from the management after the game - A poor performance saw us deservedly lose 3-0 tonight. We move on to Saturday.
