A good crowd enjoyed a fun Race night. The wooden horses were propelled by jockeys from the audience with races of the kids, the ladies, the gentlemen and the board. The five winners competed in a final champion of champions race, which was won by Sarah Phillips, daughter of staunch supporter Ron Phillips - the club made a £100.
Earlier in the day seven brave supporters – Phil Mytton, Colin and Liam Bodenham, julie Martin undertook a sponsored walk of 18 miles from Brecon to Merthyr to raising almost £600.
During the above efforts John Strand, Steve Lloyd, Phil Evans and Meurig Price took to St. Tydfil's Shopping Centre to promotion the football club. The club were able to showcase the Toolstation Western Premier League Trophy to the public with promoting the events during the summer, the facilities of the Candac Suite and our Soccalot lottery.
There was a prize of a signed away shirt available to children and Matthew Webb, aged 12 from Beacon Heights was the lucky boy to claim it.
