Tigers Stars Delivered This Weeks Training Session for Under 7/8/9's

Castleford Tigers have this week launched a new community programme, called Tiger Mania, which intends to strengthen links between the club through first team players and the local junior clubs

Tiger Mania is an extension of the community programmes already in place which include each junior team in the area having two first team players as their club ambassadors. The project will see first team players delivering high octane training sessions for ages 8, 9 and 10 at all junior clubs who take part.

The sessions, which are endorsed by the club's performance department, will be supported by the club's community coaches and will involve core Rugby League skill drills in the form of fun and informative small sided games. The sessions, which are intended to support the junior club coaches and improve skill level in these age groups, will be followed by question and answer sessions where youngsters will have chance to ask questions to Tigers 1st team stars and get autographs and photographs taken.

Every youngster who takes part in a Tiger Mania session will receive a special certificate for taking part and an invitation to one of our now famous rugby camps run by community coaches with 1st team players taking part.

Methley Warriors were the first club to take advantage of Tiger Mania. Tigers stars Steve Snitch and Craig Huby delivered the session earlier this week
