Met Police welcome Tonbridge Angels FC and we have some close links between the two clubs. Pictured is Phil Cramp ex Angels goal scoring legend!

This weekend sees Tonbridge Angels FC visit Imber Court and we have several close links with them. First team coach, Phil Cramp hails from Tonbridge & made his name playing for them....albeit a few seasons ago & when he had more hair! Rumour has it there was even a song about his goal scoring exploits for them. Ryan Watts also counts Tonbridge as one of his previous clubs and will make his debut for Met Police against them.
The Tonbridge assistant manager, Barry Moore, and his lovely wife, Lara are close friends of our boardroom manageress, Michelle Wettone & obviously yours truly. We will be seeing them again on Sunday at the christening of their youngest son & hopefully we will be the ones still smiling after Saturdays game.

Jim Cooper gave us an update on his squad for Saturdays game & his thoughts for the weekend.
`After Tuesday's battling performance against Hendon, we welcome Tonbridge Angels to Imber Court. We will have to apply ourselves in exactly the same manner as Tuesday to get anything out of the game. I know that Tonbridge Angels had a very disappointing result on Wednesday evening but I will not be fooled into thinking that they are vulnerable, in fact they will probably be motivated further to turn that result around quickly to show that it was only a blip.

We will have both Mitchell Gutteridge and Matt Pattison available for selection post their recent injuries, Ryan Watts will also make his debut in place of the injured James Aldred now that his suspension carried over from his Tonbridge days last season has finished. We will still be without Steve Sutherland and Ty Smith through injuries although both are making significant progress under the stewardship of physio Chad Smith.

Our Reserves also start their league campaign away at Carshalton this Saturday. I watched them train last night and the future for our club is very bright as the age of the reserve is so very young but is full of promising talent.

Our new youth team won in the week at Dorking Wanderers and I am reliably informed that some of the first year youth team are some of the best that have been introduced to the club since the start of the youth program. This is some endorsement as we have had many excellent players come through the youth set up and many will be playing in the reserves tomorrow.`
