The Met face a midweek trip to Canvey Island tomorrow night (Tuesday). Jim gave us a team update although Brad (pictured) is missing this one.

After our second home win in five days we travel to a very strong and much fancied Canvey Island FC.

We will be without Steve Sutherland, Ty Smith, James Aldred and probably Bradley Hudson-Odoi. The first three through injury, the latter through a family engagement. Jack Knight will come into the squad after the precocious talent scored three goals in the reserves win at Carshalton last Saturday.

We can go into the game with much confidence. We are playing very good football, creating chances and conceding few goals. We know we will have to be at our best to get anything out of the game tomorrow night but if we work and battle as hard as we have in recent games we may be able to leave Essex with something to show for it.

On the injury front, Ty is probably another fortnight away from playing, Steve Sutherland may be ok for this Saturday but Aldo will be another week. These are three key players within a small squad who when fit will be pressing to start the games.
