The season ends today with a home league game against AFC Hornchurch - or does it? Only a win will do today.

Well, another season comes to a close and we find ourselves on the brink of the Ryman Premier play offs & possible promotion.....if we win today AND other results go in our favour.

Factor in the astonishing events at Enfield Town FC this week who have been found guilty of fielding an ineligible player......in January 2015. They were only summoned to the FA this week & found guilty, which then moves the responsibility onto the Ryman League for any sanction.

How this has taken so long to be dealt with is the main question on everyones lips. The rights & wrongs & final decision will be decided elsewhere by people in committee rooms but sadly not on a football pitch.

Its a cliche but the league table does not lie, so we will see where we finish at 5.00pm today & then await any rules & procedural judgements later.

Jim & the players know this is a MUST win game & we also know that AFC Hornchurch will personally & professionally be doing their best for 90 minutes to frustrate our efforts.

Jim has a full squad to select from with only a slight doubt over Matt Pattison after he came off last weekend.

Whatever the outcome, it has been a great season & we still have a cup final to go. Jim, Gavin, Crampy, Scott, Chad & Smalley for the first part of the season, all deserve full credit for their hard work, commitment & efforts. The majority of their work goes unseen on training pitches, phone calls to players etc & have no doubt Jim is already planning for next season. There is no `close` season for management teams at this level.

Good luck to all the clubs today, especially Tonbridge Angels, Witham Town & Kingstonian !
