News of a Signing made by our reserve team this weekend. Dont get too excited......

We do not usually publicise the signings by our reserves but they signed a front man this weekend who deserves recognition.

Making the long trip to Royston Town was obviously not very popular with some so they travelled with two subs & then signed on manager Ian Pendry as a third sub!

Taking account of his last appearance as a stand in goalkeeper, ( woeful) this was a surprising move, but with Phil Cramp unavailable due to first team duties & an appointment at KFC at 6.30pm they had no choice.

Ian is no longer as young as he was & is in his very very late 40`s.....Until January. I am pleased to report that he kept his boots clean and was not needed as a substitute...I think no one dared be replaced by him !

Luckily his `victory` dance when he scores has not been seen since the late 1990`s....and his boots date from about the same era....
