Its a first for me at least, travelling to play at Combined Counties CB Hounslow FC. A tough game that many will be looking at for an upset due to our start in our league program.
We have trained well this week and despite the recent run of results the lads are in good spirits. Of course the FA Cup is as important to CB Hounslow as it is to us but we have to be selfish and go all out to get through to the 2nd qualifying round. With that in mind we will only have Steve Sutherland and Jeremy Boakye missing due to injury. New signing Nathan Baxter will play in goal which will be his debut in the F.A. Cup despite him playing and winning the F.A Youth cup final only a couple of months back for Chelsea FC. Were hoping that some of that experience in winning that particular trophy will rub off onto us and provide us with the necessary tools to have a good run in this competition.
On a side issue, I would like to extend my thanks and send best wishes to outgoing goalkeeper Luke Edgecombe. He is a very good keeper and understands the opportunity taking Nathan on loan from Chelsea presents to our club in both the short and long term.
