LATEST UPDATE 12/04/12
It started on Saturday 7th with Boycey starting in Englands win V Italy U17s in Parma, Then Jack Mc Scoring a try for England u16 North V Netherlands u17s in another win on Sunday 8th. A big bunch of us went down to watch Jack play against Canada u17s on Tuesday PM but due to required rotation he did not play. On wednesday we watched Lewis start again and England were running away with it against Wales until a spirited fight back saw Wales run out losers 39-34. Boycey had a great game, clearing out and tackling with skill and vigour. Sadly we did not see any of his trademark kicking from hand :). JB, The Hadman, Dave Booth, Belly, Duggers, Sam Gaudie and the wounded Tom Burridge all went down only to be surprised (not that surprising) my the Mavin clan making yet another unscheduled appearance. A great turnou to support the boys. Tom was included in some of the England walkabouts and got a nice mention in the programme. One could tell it hurt badly not playing. That said he has now removed his sling.
A cracking 2 days for a pround bunch of supporters.

Lewis Boyce aged (15 3/4) makes England U17 debut Vs Scotland u17
Not being aware that he had to sing the anthem resulted in a few mumbled words and random shouts of QUEEN from Boycey. This was the only negative as England comfortably dispatched those north of the Wall. Lewis came on at half time and buy all accounts played well and was more than comfortable in the scrums. Engand 18s seems like a real prospect next year. Match report from
The Scottish RFU here
Well done Lewis we are very proud of you.
Jack McPhillips had a solid game for England North Vs Worcester u17s Academy. Sadly they lost 22-14 in a game dominated by the Worcester back row.

Lewis and Tom played this weekend in a terrific 52-5 win against Wasps Acadeny u17s. Sadly with 20 mins to go Tom fell awkwardly while offloading in the tackle and broke his collarbone. After the game the England boys were given their bag containing all of their stash. Tom's bag had a laminated name tag on it...... which was sadly removed as it will now go to his replacement. Tom is very dissapointed but in remarkably good spirits having thoroughly enjoyed his exciting journey.
This weekend sees Jack in Action for England (North) V the Worcester u17 Academy and Lewis playing for the u17s V Scotland U17s at Selkirk!

Fantastic news for the 3 boys and their families !. I think a pat on the back also needs to go to their coaches too. Bagsy first dibs on any spare England stash mind !
