Sloppy play from front to back aloud Langley to equalise immediately.

Midhurst 3 - 5 Langney

A disappointing day saw the stags fall to a well drilled Langney team.

The day started well as Midhurst dominated early possession and were ahead after 15 minutes through a 30 yard wonder strike from Mr Versatile Joel Stevens.

This gave Midhurst the perfect springboard to push on and look for the second goal. Unfortunately this wasn't to be. A minute later sloppy play from front to back aloud Langley to equalise immediately.
The visitors made Midhurst pay for a period of sloppiness and soon went two one up.
They could well have gone further ahead but a couple of good saves from Cowell prevented this. Just went it looked to be heading for half time Hyde equalised for Midhurst. Their first bit of real play saw Mason release McKenley-Burke down the left. His first time ball found the instrumental Hyde who's curling 20 yard strike nestled in the visitors net.
Half time 2 2.
The second half saw both teams with equal share of possession but no end product. The turning point came on 65 minutes. What looked like a blatant handball against the visitors wasn't spotted by the referee. Langley made the most of the stags appeals and caught them cold making it 4 - 2.
A lacklustre final 15 minutes of the game saw little to inspire the on watching crowd which turned up in their numbers.
A fifth was added on 80 minutes to compound the stags misery.
A late penalty converted by Hamilton was a mere consolation for the stags who will look to bounce back in a tough one against high flying East Preston on Friday night.
