Facilities
In 2005 MKRUFC voted to look at options to move facilities from our old site Field Lane, Greenleys, with a view to significantly upgrading both facilities and infrastructure, and provide improved opportunities for rugby in the MK area. Working with the local authorities (Milton Keynes council) and the RFU (at national and county level) we have secured the building within a new facility called the Emerson Valley Community Sports Pavilion, this opened in March 2011.
This is a community sports facility, where Milton Keynes Rugby club are the prime resident tenant altough other sports do use the facility such as American Football, Korfball and Pentaque. The new state-of-the-art sports facility includes 6 changing rooms with self contained showers (including underfloor heating, a first in country maybe?), 4 fully drained rugby pitches (one with training floodlights), bar area with full AV facilities and viewing patio, function room and offices. There is car parking for 110 cars and the clubhouse is designed to provide full disabled access and facilites.
This new development gives MKRUFC one of the best (if not the best) grounds and facilities in the region and will provide significant opportunities for children and adults in Milton Keynes to participate in rugby and other sports. We look forward to welcoming you to our facility in Emerson Valley in the 2010/11 season.
Our clubhouse and facility is also available for rent for functions, social and other sporting events.
