Senior team pre-season training, 2nd July then every Tuesday and Thursday until Sept, 6:30 Furze Hills.

FRIDAY NIGHTS: Our fun touch rugby evenings have proved a great success, with new players and parents all joining in. They will continue throughout the summer 18:30 – 20:00. No pressure to turn up every week or even at all but these sessions are helping players to improve their own game awareness.

SATURDAY 24th JUNE: THIS COMING SATURDAY, GOOD WEATHER PERMITTING!!!!

This is an initiative which tries to build links between clubs and their communities by getting people to aid in the repair and refurbishment of their local clubhouse and grounds. Whilst we are fundraising for the new clubhouse we need to make sure the current one see’s us through till then. We will painting the club inside and out from 11 am onwards with the bar open and a BBQ for all helpers and some family fun afterwards. Please come along and lend a hand.

STARTING FIRST WEEK OF JULY: Senior team will be starting their pre-season training. This will be up Furze Hills at 6:30 for 6.45pm start, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

SATURDAY 1st JULY: We are at two events this day. Firstly I will be at Highfields School summer fair. We will also be at Bradfield village fete to promote the rugby club as well as the senior side competing in a tug-o-war competition.

SATURDAY 8th JULY: We will have our regular stall at the Tendring Show this year so will be after as many players as possible to come along on the day and help out. I have some kids passes and I know many get in for free through the local schools but they are less giving of adult passes so I may not be able to get parents past the gate, sorry. Pre-buy your tickets to get them cheaper. Our arena demo time slot is 16:00 although we may have the opportunity to do an earlier demo so if you know you can definitely make it this day please let me know so that I can plan what we will be doing.

THURSDAY 13th JULY: AGM in Mistley Anchor from 19:30/20:00 which all are welcome to attend as members of the club. This will be followed by the clubs lottery draw for which on the night numbers can be purchased and a free supper.

FRIDAY 14th JULY: No touch rugby this night as this evening is our now annual showdown with Mistley Cricket Club from 6.00pm onwards. Still come along for a drink and a fun evening out which the Rugby Club won last year so we are expecting a proper sledging this year.

AUGUST: The Manningtree Regatta is going to be held across a weekend in August and the Sunday morning will have kids races on the beach and tug-o-war in the mud which we put two senior teams in to last year and is a good opportunity to promote the club at all ages.

SATURDAY 19th AUGUST: ALL DAY FUN EVENT FOR THE WHOLE CLUB AND GENERAL PUBLIC.

The Wheelbarrow rally will be starting at 11:00 in Manningtree and is for teams of 4-6 people with an optional fancy dress and pimped out wheelbarrow and will stop at a number of ‘watering holes’ enroute back to the club. If you would like to enter a team please let me l know so that give you more details.

SUNDAY 3rd SEPTEMBER: Youth back to training. There will be some restructuring of coaches during the summer and as the youth section grows so the need for more coaches arises. We have some who are already willing to help out but if there are any mums, dads, brothers, sisters or any other relatives willing to help as assistant coach / lead coach / first aider or anything else they think may be of help please let me know. Training courses are available locally and with enough support we can even run them here so if you want to come on board let me know soon please.
