"Unfortunately Damase has been sent off in 3 games out of 20 and I feel really bad for him as he is a lovely lad who barely says a word and hardly makes a tackle. In my view the red cards have been harsh. However, regardless of the reasons for the red cards it's still not acceptable. When we factor in the 3 red cards, our own internal discipline system and the fact he lives in Huddersfield we feel it is best and in everyone's best interests that we release Damase for him to look for another club. He needs games and more first team experience to develop.

Damase has unique technical ability and if he improves in the areas he needs to and gets adult semi pro league experience I am sure he will go on to become a very special player. He's a fantastic talent and a great person and we all wish him the best"
