Mold Alex 7 - 0 Llay Miners

Another scintillating performance from Mold ensured the continuation of the 100% record, this time with a victory at home to go with the three previous away victories.

The Alex started again in top gear and should have been ahead inside the first couple of minutes after when the ball fell to pip inside the six yard both only to blaze over in front of an empty net. Pip also had a goal chalked off for a tight offside minutes later.

We didn't have to wait much longer for the deadlock to be broken after good work down the right from Matty Lewis, he crossed for Cal Lavelle to rifle the ball home at the far post. Minutes later the score was extended after Matty Lewis and Lee Jones combined the ball again reaching Cal Lavelle who notched his second.

Mold continued to press for more but just couldn't find that final touch

Half time 2 - 0

The second half started the same as the first, this time Pip finishing cooly from inside the area.

The fourth came shortly after when a precision ball found chunk who after a lung busting run rammed the ball home for his first of the season.

Lee Jones added his customary goal minutes later coolly rounding the keeper.

Mold then rang the changes chunk (who needed the use of an iron lung after his run) being replaced by Matt France (who sustained an injury late on) Matty Lewis replaced by Aaron Davies and Grant replacing Pip.

The unexpected happened next as Cy Sullivan opened his account in the right net after a mazy dribble and good finish.

The best was saved till last grant was played through although denied by the keeper and from the resulting play Aaron Davies finished coolly from around 40 yards, lofting the ball over the stranded keeper.

The initial hard work won the game again and some of the play again was superb, we move on now to a tricky game away against Ruthin, who themselves have not dropped a point. Hard work and the right attitude are needed here if we are to maintain our 100% record
