Reserves Achieve The Great Escape
Down And Almost Out But Share The Points
Mold Alex Reserves decided to only play 45 minutes and found themselves trailing at half time 4-0. The home side must have thought it was Christmas as the Alex slumped.
Following their half time team talk, the Alex decided they should make a game of it and were back in the game on 50 mins thanks to a Cal Lavelle screamer from 20 yards into the bottom corner. He doubled his tally two minutes later after beating four defenders and slotting past the keeper from an almost impossible angle. With the home side now in disarray, Tom Hyndman pounced and beat the offside trap and the keeper to pull the visitors to within one goal of the Rangers and set the game up for a grandstand finish. With 10 minutes left on the clock and Mold pushing for the equaliser, they were awarded a corner kick. Ryan Kennedy got in the thick of it once the ball reached the box and managed to chest the ball and the keeper into the back of the net and secure a share of the points.
