1. Recruitment 1

Rugby League is a fun, safe and exciting sport played by thousands of kids nationwide every winter (and now for the emerging 8s, Under 8s & Under 9s every spring / summer)

With Competitions stretching nationwide, there is bound to be a RL match on this weekend for you to view.

Moldgreen Juniors your local community club, enables you to live your dreams If you can't wait until the next Super League match, then you need to get out onto the pitch ASAP.

Simply by contacting the coach of your age group or alternately calling Lizan Wood Tel: 079969678245 you could be playing this weekend even if you just want to keep fit and make new mates come along on a Saturday morning (10am) to the DRAM Centre and give it a go.

Regardless of age or ability there is team for you.

Mini rugby (under 8/9)

Mini league is the best way of getting in the wonderful world of rugby league without the big hits!
If you're under nine, it's the perfect way to begin your quest for Super League stardom!
Instead of playing with 13 players, mini league is played with nine.
This means there are no scrums, no kicking or big-hitting tackles (the hardest hit you take will be your 1st).

It's really simple and it's a great way of learning all the basic passing, catching and running skills.
And it's not just for the boys - more and more girls are getting into the game through mini league.
If you want to start playing, tell your Parents or teacher who will help you get in contact with Moldgreen Juniors.

Once you've learned the basic skills playing mini rugby (or if your just getting on in years being the ripe old age of 10/11), it's time to move onto mod rugby.
"So what's the difference?" you may ask.
Well, it's not that much. But instead of playing with nine players, mod is played with 11.
There are five forwards and six backs. And yes, there are three-man scrums for those of you who can't wait to get stuck in!
Mod rugby is a step up from mini, but one down from the full 13-a-side version of the game.
If you want to start playing, tell your Parents or teacher who will help you get in contact with Moldgreen Juniors. (or contact the club direct yourself)
