Bag Packing A Great Success
Fantastic Effort By All Involved
A huge thank you to all the players and parents who turned out to give their support last Sunday at Morrissons for the bag packing event. To say it was worthwhile is an understatement as the total amount raised from the generous donations of the shoppers was a huge £986.60!!
This type of fundraiser has been very successful in the past and this year was no exception. The day was made even better by the amount of positive feedback I was getting from customers as they were helped with their shopping, commenting on how polite and helpful the children were. This only helps to enhance the profile and reputation of the club in the community and is a credit to the players who represent us.
Special thanks go out to Kim Salm, Wayne Pegg, Steve Close and John Coletta for their supervisory roles and above all, to all the players who worked very hard and kept a smile on their faces throughout the day.
Finally the club wishes a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone and let’s look forward to a great year of rugby league in 2012.
