Bendigo 7s Success

3 weeks ago By Ian Nathan

Last weekend saw Moorabbin send 2 Senior teams and a combined Junior team to the Bendigo 7s.

The Seniors had 25 players make the trek up the Highway to Bendigo last weekend and they did a great job representing the club.

The Moorabbin “White” team had a win and two losses in their pool matches before having to bow out of the comp as their playing numbers dropped.

The Moorabbin “Black” team went through to the Bowl final against Bendigo after mixed results in the pool matches with two wins and two losses. They then faced a physical Sri Lankan team in the Semis before a last ditch try in the final secured them the Bowl.

It was a great bonding experience for everyone and set the stage for a a positive start to the preseason kicking off in early November.
