However, Geoff’s time at the Rebels has come to an end and he has signed with a team in Japan for the 2019 season. So last Friday was Henry’s final game for Moorabbin and the team organised a farewell party the next day.
The club’s newest Centurion is also the U8s coach this year and Machon had this to say about Henry. “Henry is one of the team’s smallest players but has the biggest heart. He would throw himself into tackles against kids much bigger than himself and had a great work rate on the field.”
Team manager Michelle wanted to thank the family for being such a great part of the team and in particular thank Geoff who was always willing to lend a hand on the field with the team at training.
Any team would be lucky to have an International player of Geoff’s experience lending a hand let alone a suburban club’s U8s team.
The entire club would like to wish the family well with their move and let them know that they are more than welcome here at Moorabbin if they ever find themselves in Melbourne again.
