Moorabbin's Rebel Ambassador retires

Michael Lipman, one of the Rebels premier signings at the birth of the franchise, called time on his rugby career at the end of last week.

The 31 year old was one of the Rebels' best players in their inaugural Super Rugby season in 2011 and had been resigned by the club for the 2013 season. Unfortunately, the cumulative effects of repeated concussions forced his hand and brought to an end the career of this talented player.

The Moorabbin Rugby Club counts itself lucky to have had Michael as a Rebels representative over the last couple of seasons. He was a great ambassador for his club and the game of rugby. Having players of his calibre make time for the Junior members of the club is invaluable and Michael will always be welcome at Moorabbin Rugby Club. Our members would like to wish him the very the best for the future.

Playing Career:
