Rams name team for first finals clash in six years

4 months ago By Fraser Stewart

The Rams include seven fresh faces as they aim for a grand final berth when they take on Powerhouse on Saturday afternoon.

The Moorabbin Rams have named their team to play in their first finals appearance since 2012, when they take on Powerhouse on Saturday afternoon at Harold Caterson Reserve.

The last time the Rams where in the finals six years ago, they won the competition when they defeated Melbourne Unicorns 30-24.

The Rams have brought in seven new faces for the clash against Powerhouse which include Melbourne Rebel Sione Tuipulotu.

Noa Noa, Johhny Hunt, Antonio Vailoaloa, Esala Drivata Niuelesolo Boland and Jone Vulisea all come into the squad with fresh legs.

It means, Noa Noa will gain a starting spot at tight head, while Troy Cobden switches to loose head.

Fili Leota switches from the number eight position to lock, giving an opportunity to Vailoaloa who starts at number eight.

Victorian Schoolboy, Johnny Hunt goes straight into the starting XV and he starts at scrum half.

Tuipulotu makes his return after missing the Box Hill game and he slots straight into outside centre.

Heine McFarland switches from the centres to fullback, while Armand Pienaar's hard work pays off when he gains a promotion to the starting XV at wing.

Vuilsea, Drivata and Boland are all making a return to first grade and will have an impact when they come off the bench.
