He and Barry coached the first XV for a number of years culminating in our first Dewar Shield Premiership. Moorabbin were Runners up in 1979 and many people feel that this was the genesis of the club’s golden age in the early to mid 80s.
Bill was 87 when he passed away. Both he and Ruth had attended our 40th Anniversary reunion for the 1978 Flag last April. They were keen travelers and at the lunch they were looking forward to their upcoming trip to Europe.
Bill and Ruth had been living in Brisbane for many years and were great supporters of the club and followed it closely.
Bill's Family and Friends are invited to Funeral Mass, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Ward Street, Indooroopilly, on Tuesday, 16th October, 2018, at 11:30 am.
