2015 has been a fantastic year for the club , but with success comes responsibility and a need to look to the future, So, where now?

In 2015 Morton C.C. achieved a unique treble, winning ESCA division 2 , The Scottish Small Clubs Cup and The East Presidents Trophy,
Next season our first eleven will play in ESCA division one, and be one promotion away from playing in The ESCA Championship. The problem is that it would not be possible to meet the ground standards required by this level on The Meadows .
As a result we have been looking around for alternatives , concious that it is better to do it now , while we still have a year to plan than to be chasing round next year looking for a suitable ground or worse having to turn down a promotion because we do not have the facilities or procedures in place to move up to The Championship.
We have identified two possible solutions . The first which would be short term would be to play our first eleven fixtures at Heriots second pitch at Goldenacre . The second option which might offer us a longer term solution involves a new proposed Sports Hub at The Gyle similar to what has been done at Inch Park . i will be meeting with the people in charge of the project shortly and hope to be in a position to give more details in the new year,
What is clear is that the management of the club will have to change, It cannot continue to be, what Karen in Bertie's describes as Big Al's benign dictatorship , It will require us to run matters in a much more professional manner as regards to finance , youth and ground development and a myriad of other matters.
In other words I will need help , If you are able to spare even a little timeto moving the club to the next level please let me know.
we have exciting times ahead , be part of it
