The best way to keep up to date with Morton Cricket Club

Here we go

2 months ago By Alan Cunningham

The season started on a damp note with only the first eleven getting a game

Rain on Saturday morning meant that both the second and third eleven games were called off with standing water on the wickets.
The first eleven had more luck and there game at Barnton beat the showers and started on time . Morton batted first and scored a respectable 213 for 9 with five batsmen scoring over 20 and skipper Sannah and Dhayalan top scored with 35. When Dhayalan followed up with a superb spell of bowling taking 6 for 20 the result was never in doubt. The RHC tail wagged but Morton took the points with a 98 run victory.
A great start to the season with lots of good contributions. Holy cross at The Meadows next week
