Mossley vs Kilkeel

Mossley were on the road at the weekend as they took on Kilkeel in their Premier League fixture. In good condition's it was Kilkeel who took the early initiative and looked the more threatening side in possession. After 20 minutes the home side lead by 2 goals to nil before Mossley responded when Ricky Lee found Simon Todd in the circle to slot the ball away taking the match to half time 2-1.
Mossley started the second half with an injection of pace and started to trouble the home side however left themselves exposed at the back and Kilkeel capitalised with fast counter attacks to extend their lead by two. Mossley responded through Todd from a penalty corner but Kilkeel pulled clear again extending the score to 5-2. Back to back goals from Todd and David Glenny brought Mossley within 1 again but continued to leak goals at the other end. At 6-4 Mossley scored again with Stephen Clarke finishing from close range. The Glade Men continued to try and salvage something from the match but the whistle came too early. Final score Kilkeel 6 Mossley 5.
Elsewhere the 2s drew 2-2 with Bangor 3s with goals from Rhys Wallace and Neil Cooke. The 3s lost 2-0 against Queens 2s . The 4s lost 2-0 on the road to Kilkeel 3s and the 5s claimed a 2-1 home win over North Down 4s with goals from Gavin Weir and Johnny Ramsay.
