Mount finalised their league fixtures with a 26-19 home win over Tylorstown at Parc Dyffryn Pennar yesterday and in doing so achieved a 100% record with 22 wins. An outstanding effort by the Old Firm who were pushed all the way by the visitors with a 4-3 try count to Mount giving both sides a bonus point.

Record point scorer Josh Lewis missed yesterday's match but picked up the Supporters Club Player of the Year award at a packed clubhouse after the game.

Next Saturday, the Old Firm take on Maesteg Quins in the final of the Glamorgan County Silver Ball at the Brewery Field and with both teams enjoying unbeaten league campaigns, it promises to be a cracker. Whatever the outcome however, it will be a great occasion for the communities of Mountain Ash and Maesteg with the Old Firm's Under 12's taking on their Maesteg Welsh counterparts in a curtain raiser before the Senior final that kicks off at 2-30pm. There are a few seats still available on the supporters buses,if you wish to travel to the match get your name down on the lists in the club asap.
