National League South - attendances

3 days ago By David Hamlet

What can Rebels expect next season

“The lowest average was recorded by Concord Rangers with 263”

This season, in Southern Premier, Rebels averaged at attendance of 666 in league matches. The 4th highest in the division behind champions Hereford with a massive 2,553.

The top average attendance in the National League South was achieved by Dartford with 1,053, followed by Chelmsford City (897), Havant & Waterlooville - promoted (880), Wealdstone 842, St. Albans City 765 and Bath City 702 - all of whom bettered Slough's average. The 22-club average totalling 564 per match, compared with the 24-club Southern Premier average of 463.

The two teams relegated from National Premier should be amongst the best supported next term - Torquay United averaged 1,731 while Woking achieved an average of 2,024.

Dulwich Hamlet, promoted from Isthmian Premier averaged a healthy 1,381 attendance.

I would anticipate that Rebels are hoping for an 800+ average next term, an increase of 20%.
